Alfred Pierre August, USAF (ret) age 74 of Lewisville, Texas passed away on December 9, 2014 in Plano, Texas. He was born on July 5, 1940 in Opelousas, Louisiana to Samuel and Mattie (Valmont) Pierre-Auguste. Alfred married Rose Mae Jack on October 10, 1964 in Denver, Colorado. They recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Alfred proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He retired as Chief Master Sergeant following 22 & ½ years of active duty service. He also provided 24 years of civil service to the United States Air Force. He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in The Colony and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He and his family resided many years in the San Antonio, Texas area before relocating to Lewisville, Texas in 2008.

Alfred was a devoted husband and father. Alfred is remembered with love by his wife, Rose Mae August of Lewisville, Texas; children: Michael August and wife, Semetria of The Colony, Texas, Kevin August of Carrollton, Texas, David August of The Colony, Texas and Denise August Innes and husband, Brian of Fort Worth, Texas; grandchildren: Katrina Isaac, Sheria Linnear, Anthony King, Avery August, Zachary August, Ariana August and Gabriela August; great-grandchildren: Bryson Linnear, Samia Linnear, Khera Isaac and Carter King; Godchildren: Stephanie Moran, Keith Pierre-Auguste, and Justin Gilliam; siblings: William August and wife, Geraldine of Oakland, California, Alvin Pierre-Auguste and wife, Theresa Geraldine of Opelousas, Louisiana, Irma Harris of Opelousas, Louisiana, Charles Pierre-Auguste and wife, Patricia of Chicago, Samuel Pierre-Auguste and wife, Rose Marie of Garland, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Samuel and Mattie Pierre-Auguste, and his brother: Eldridge Pierre-Auguste.

The family will receive friends at a Visitation to be held from 8-9:30 AM on Monday, December 15, 2014 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Frisco. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30 AM on Monday, December 15, 2014 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 7000 Morning Star Drive, The Colony, Texas with Father Antony Mathew presiding.
