Mr. Albert Paul Rivette, Sr., age 83, of Bonham, Texas, passed away January 24, 2011, in Sherman, Texas. Albert was born November 13, 1927, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Alexander and Edna (Guilhas) Rivette. He married Mildred Lee Cowan on June 6, 1950, in Pensacola, Florida. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy for 9 years, and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. Albert was a crew chief at American Airlines for many years. He was of the Catholic faith. He is survived by his son, Albert Paul Rivette, Jr., and wife, Mallisa of Arlington, Texas; daughter, Paula Douglas and husband, Stephen of Troup, Texas; grandsons, Timmy Taylor and wife, Nancy of Wolfe City, Texas, Toby Taylor and Teddy Taylor and wife, Polly all of Trenton, Texas, and Justin Rivette of Waxahachie, Texas; great-grandsons, Dylan Taylor and T. K. Taylor; and great-granddaughters, Miranda Taylor and Kaitlyn Taylor. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mildred; brother, Edward Rivette; and sister, Lucille Dempsey. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, January 29, 2011, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m., Friday evening at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
