Albert H. Reeves, Sr.

Albert Reeves, Sr. was reunited with his beloved wife of over 60 years Friday, November 22, 2013. Funeral services and interment for Albert Reeves will be held at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at 10 am. Bro. David Burns of Brashear Baptist Church, where Albert is a member, will officiate. Visitation will be Monday, November 25 from 5 -7 pm at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.

He was born to Eldon and Lois (Wilcox) Reeves in Princeton, TX on August 18, 1933. He married his true soul mate, Betty Lou Thomas on February 11, 1952. She preceded him in death on July 3, 2012. They resided in Princeton until 2003 when they moved to Sulphur Springs, TX. Albert retired from Kraft Foods in Garland after 37 years. He was also an avid farmer, raised milk goats and sheep, as well as enjoyed his many famous unusual pets. After retiring, Albert and Betty enjoyed a ceramics business and other handmade crafts and playing soft pitch baseball. Albert gave so much to so many over the years. His focus was serving God as close to the Bible as he could. His special caring touch included all people and animals. He loved to fish and hunt and do anything outdoors. He will forever be loved and missed beyond words.

Also preceding him in death were his parents and his only sibling, Dr. Homer Reeves.

Survivors include two daughters; Betty Reeves Finn, Margaret Reeves Yochum and her husband Tom, one son, Albert H. Reeves, Jr. and his wife Shaina. 10 grandchildren; Kenneth Newsom, Katrisha Milligan, Karen Lockett, Kevin Newsom, Glynn Mosier, Chris Mosier, Dharma Reeves, Taylor Reeves, Aiden Yudall and Victoria Reeves, 11 great grandchildren; Tierra, Bryson & Tyson Newsom, Bourne & Bodhi Milligan, Kade & Gabby Lockett, Preston & Parker Newsom, Lilly & Gavin Mosier.
