Alan Gragg, age 59, of Allen,Texas passed away August 28, 2011 in Boulder, Colorado surrounded by his family. He was born November 21, 1951, in Oak Park, Illiniois to George Richard and Josephine Jane (Wildermuth) Gragg. He married Kelly Dawn Parker on May 30, 1998 aboard The Flagship Texas on Lake Travis in Austin, Texas. Alan put people at ease with his smile, his openness, and his willingness to laugh at the drop of a hat. Alan was a superb natural athlete once trying out for the Kansas City Royals. He was known as "Al The Animal" at the Union Grove Drag Strip. His favorite car was his 1966 Chevell Super Sport followed closely by his Lexus LS460L. Alan was a member of Cottonwood Creek Baptist Church of Allen, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Kelly Gragg of Allen, Texas; daughters Ashley, Mindy, and Julie Gragg all of Allen, Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Jan and Fred Stengel of Boulder, Colorado; brother and sister-in-law, Stephen and Jeni Gragg of Seneca, South Carolina; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Don and Sandy Parker; brother-in-law and wife, Don and Karen Parker of Temple, Texas; brother-in-law and wife, David and Valerie Parker of San Antonio, Texas; brother-in-law Dennis Parker of El Paso, Texas; and sister-in-law Stacy Parker of Ellsinore, Missouri; numerous neices and nephews; and nine great neices and nephews. Alan was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation was Septmeber 2, 2011 from 5:00-7:00pm at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home. Funeral services were held at Cottonwood Creek Baptist Church September 3, 2001 at 10:00am with the Rev. Robert Barnett officiating.
