Alan Robert Brown passed away November 13th, 2008 form heart complications. He is survived by his wife of 32 years Kristine, his children Katrina Brown, Taralee and Russell Bowlin, his grandaughters Landry and Audrey Bowlin, and his brother Lawrence Brown of New York. Al was born June 24th, 1946 in North Syracuse, New York to parents Donald and Adella Brown. He graduated from Alfred State University. Al served honorably in the United States Navy from 1964 to 1970. After leaving the Navy, Al worked in computer engineering for 40 years, the last 10 of which with AT&T. "Big Al" (as he was affectionately known) loved his wife and family, the Lord Jesus Christ, and our country. He will be missed by many people whose lives he touched with his humor, kindness, and generosity. He will be remembered as a husband who never lost his temper, a father who was unconditionally loving and supportive, and a faithful friend. But most who knew him will remember him for his perennial greeting of a salute accompanied by "Hey Boss!"
