Mrs. Addie Leon Durrett, age 95, of McKinney, Texas passed away on January 2, 2005, in McKinney. She was born on July 31, 1909, in Terrell, Texas to Adam Compton and Virginia Ethel (Shelton) Young. She married Lawrence Thomas Durrett, Sr. on October 27, 1933, in McKinney, Texas. Mrs. Durrett was a sales person; she was employed with the Annex from 1954-1977. She was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church in McKinney. She is survived by her son, L.T. Durrett and wife, Ruth of Odessa, Texas; daughter, Jean Feagins of McKinney, Texas; grandson, Michael Don Durrett and wife, Trudy of Lubbock, Texas; granddaughter, Jennifer Ann Murley of McKinney, Texas; 5 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson; and sister, Ann Mathis of Sherman, Texas. Mrs. Durrett was preceded in death by her husband, L.T. Durrett, Sr.; grandchildren, Paula Murley and David Durrett; brother, Wayne Young and sister, Geneva Dudley. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 5, 2005 in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Rev. Jerry Putnam and Rev. Larry Tinsley officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Tuesday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
