Abbie Lou Williams Meaders-Hale, age 93, of McKinney, Texas passed away June 21, 2008, at her home. She was born March 8, 1915, in Kemp, Texas, the fifth of six children to Warren Hutchens (Huttie) Williams and Jessie Victoria (Weatherly) Williams. Lou was a cattle rancher and she also worked for McShan Florist in Garland for many years. Lou moved to Plano, Texas in 1954. She was a member of AA since November 1949. On September 15, 1995, she married Wallace M. Hale, who preceded her in death in 2007. She is survived by her daughters, Julia Anne Lyda and husband, Hap of Southlake, Texas and Jolly Tucker and husband, Doyle of Lucas, Texas; grandchildren, Marc, Jay, Lance, Peter, Julie, Kerri and Rick; great grandchildren, Jared, Morgan, Avery, Lindy, Sarah Beth, Tyler, Hayley, Christopher, Bradley and Kaycee. Abbie Lou Williams Meaders-Hale is also preceded in death by Roy Whiteman, John Meaders and Joe Crutcher, as well as her sister and brothers, Erna, Warren, Temple, E.H. and Billy Dunk. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 28, 2008, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with her son-in-law, The Rev. Dr. Hap Lyda officiating. Interment will follow at Fitzhugh Cemetery located in the Forest Grove Community of Lucas, Texas. The family will receive friends for a visitation from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
