Aaryn Page Morris

Aaryn Page Morris, age 36, of Plano, Texas, passed away October 9, 2013. He was the devoted husband of Monica Rigler Morris; loving son of Page and Jamie Morris and Marti Temple Deverick; and the amazing brother of four sisters, Robin Michie and Heather, Jennifer and Molly Morris. He was born July 7, 1977, in Richmond, Virginia, to Page and Marti.  Aaryn grew up in Richmond and Staunton, Virginia. As a child he was active in Boy Scouts and Little League baseball. In high school he was honored with the opportunity to attend Virginia Boys State. Aaryn graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1995 and attended Virginia Tech University. On May 19, 2006, Aaryn married Monica Rigler in Wilmington, Delaware. He began his professional career as an executive of Target, where he met Monica, before moving to Plano, Texas and starting Firehouse Subs in the Murphy and Garland areas. Aaryn enjoyed traveling all over the world, planning his pending adventures and investing. Most of all he loved spending time with his friends and family. Aaryn’s enthusiasm and optimistic outlook on life touched all who knew him.  

He is survived by his wife, Monica Morris of Plano, Texas; father, William Page Morris and wife Jamie of Staunton, Virginia; mother, Marti Temple Deverick and husband Gene of Indianapolis, Indiana; sisters, Robin Morris Michie and husband Bob of Richmond, Virginia, Heather Morris and husband Shahryr Shafaghi of Sydney, Australia, Jennifer Amanda Page Morris of New York, New York and Molly Kathleen Page Morris of Staunton, Virginia; Uncle, Tom Morris; Cousins, Betsy Reagan and Jessica Nguyen; Nephews and Niece, Chap, Cabell and Caroline Michie; Father and Mother in-law, Earl K. Rigler, Jr. and wife Linda Marie; brothers and sisters in-law, Jess M. Rigler and wife Stephanie, Alicia E. Rigler and husband Terrence Henry, Todd E. Rigler and wife Jessica, Gina A. Rowland and husband Will, and Tyler C. Rigler; and a host of other loving family and friends.

Two services will be held to honor his life. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 14, 2013 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends and family one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. A service will also be held at First Presbyterian Church in Staunton, Virginia, on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. with reception to follow.
