Mr. A.P. “Dutch” Hooper, age 87, passed away July 20, 2007, in Frisco, Texas. He was born June 7, 1920, in Forest Grove Community, Texas, to Richard Lowe and Margaret Mae (Strickland) Hooper. On September 9, 1936 he married Rachel Onita Bridges, in Durant, Oklahoma. He was a member of The Word Center in Frisco, Woodman of the World, Frisco/McKinney Chapter, and was a Collin County Farmer for over forty years. He is survived by his son, Bob Hooper and his wife Elaine of Frisco, Texas; grandchildren, J.B. Hooper and his wife Jeannie of Frisco, Texas, Roxie Watson and her husband Bill of Frisco, Texas, Johnny Mack Thomas and his wife Brenda of Forest Grove, Texas, Robert Christopher Thomas and his wife Candy of Forest Grove, Texas, and Joe Scott Thomas and his wife Tina of Melissa, Texas; great-grandchildren, Jo Elaine Hooper, Crystal Thomas and her fiancé Richard Daniel, Roxann Watson-Chesney and her husband Tjay, Chance Watson, C.J. Thomas, Jada Thomas, Braeden Thomas, Kaleigh Thomas and Cody Thomas; brother Richard Hooper and his wife Minnie of Allen, Texas; sister, Dolly Calverly of Greenville, Texas. Preceding him in death were his parents; wife of 66 years, Rachel Onita Hooper; and his daughter, Elaine Thomas, three brothers, and five sisters. Funeral service will be held Monday, July 23, 2007, at 10:00 a.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel, Allen, Texas, with Rev. Bob Hooper and Jo Elaine Hooper officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Sunday evening, beginning at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
