| James Doyle Brooks, age 87 of Frisco, Texas passed away on July 23, 2010 in Frisco. He was born on July 9, 1923 in Frisco to Byrd Samuel and Nellie (Gilland) Brooks. James married Jackie Marice Polser in Frisco, Texas. He was a WWII Veteran having served his country in the United States Army. After leaving the Army he went on to farm in Frisco and later became an Insurance Agent with Southern Farm Bureau for twenty years. Both James and Jackie are longtime members of the First United Methodist Church of Frisco. He is survived by his wife, Jackie Brooks of Frisco; son and daughter-in-law, David and Sharon Brooks of Frisco; granddaughter, Jayme Brooks of Frisco; sister, Peggy Nell Smith of Alvarado and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends during a Visitation beginning at 6:00 PM to be held at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Frisco on Monday, July 26, 2010. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at the First United Methodist Church of Frisco with Rev. Bill Meek and Rev. Boyd Sawyer officiating. Interment will follow at Rowlett Cemetery in Plano |

David, I am so sorry about James' passing. He was such a great man...when I came to Farm Bureau he was always so wonderful and gave me such a hard time...he was easy to love and we all miss him dearly. His coffee cup is still hanging in his special place where he left it so many years ago. I send our deepest sympathy from our family to all of James Doyle's family. James Doyle and his parents farmed the property owned by my grandmother, Mrs. J. M. (Emma) Hunt and her sister, my great aunt, Mrs. C.A. (Mamie) Covington for many years. It's been ages since we had any contact but I know James Doyle was a fine man from a wonderful family. We are very sad to hear of his passing and send our deepest condolences to each of you.
