Until Jesus Christ returns to earth, everyone will experience physical death. People are often concerned about death and the process of dying. God's Word contains hundreds of references to death. It is a formidable foe, "The last enemy that will be destroyed by death.(1 Cor 15:26); but also a conquered foe: " Death is swallowed up in victory" ( 1 Cor 15:54) Jesus Christ's death and resurrection have forever changed the meaning of death.
Jesus promised that He has prepared a place in heaven for Christians. At death, a Christian's spirit enters immediately into the presence of the Lord. Physical death is only a transition from earth to heaven.
Let not your heart be troubled, you believe in God, believe also in Me. IN My Father's house are many mansions, if it were not so, I would have told you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you will be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know.
We love you guys and share in your loss of your son,
Jimmy and Diane Chapman

Dear Trovillion Family,
My deepest and most sincere sympathies for your family. I truly know what you are going through. In April of 2004 we lost our nephew, Marine Lance Corporal Michael Blake Wafford. He also was a member of Alpha Company, 1st Battalion, 5th Marines. It was his second tour of duty in Iraq. God be with you in the days ahead. Your dear son was an example of the marine motto: Semper Fidelis: Always Faithful. Psalms 144:1-4 says, "Praise be to the Lord my Rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle. He is my loving God and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield, in whom I take refuge, who subdues peoples under me. O Lord, what is man that you care for him, the son of man that you think of him? Man is like a breath; his days are like a fleeting shadow." [NIV] Your family will be in my prayers in the days ahead. Remember, "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." Matthew 15:13 [KJV]
Cpl. Trovillion is forever numbered with the best and brightest.- Ron W Holland

WHEN TOMORROW STARTS WITHOUT ME
When tomorrow starts without me, and I am not here to see
If the sun should rise and find your eyes, filled with tears for me,
I wish so much you wouldn't cry, the way you did today,
While thinking of the many things we never were able to say.
I always knew you loved me as much as I loved you.
And each time you now think of me, I know you'll miss me too.
When tomorrow starts without me there, please try to understand,
That God's angel came calling out my name, and took me by the hand.
He said my mansion's ready, in Heaven which is far above,
And that I had no choice but leave behind, all those I dearly love.
I turned to walk away from all, a tear fell from my eye.
For my short life, there on the earth, I never really planned to die.
I had so much to live for and so much more to do,
It seemed almost impossible, that I was now leaving you.
I thought of all the yesterdays: the good ones and the bad,
I thought of all the love we shared, and all the joy we had.
Then as I walked through Heaven's Gate, I felt so much at home,
Almighty God looked down at me, there from His awesome throne.
He said to me: "Child, this is eternity and all I promised you,"
This day your life on earth is done, but here it starts anew."
"I promise no tomorrows, your 'now' will always last,
For here each day is just the same, you'll never long for your past.
I find you've been so faithful, so trusting and so true,
Yes, I know there were some times, when you did things you knew you shouldn't do."
"But my Son has given forgiveness, and now, at last, you're free,
So come and take my hand, my child, We'll share eternity."
To you on earth who are coming, to stand before the Throne,
In spirit I'll be praying, that you know that you're not alone.
It takes you making the decision, to live your life for Him,
The choice that you'll be making, is found in John 10, Verse 10.
- Rev. John and Susan Thompson

our deepest sympathy and understanding. Your son and my nephew will always be the truest heroes, serving their country, doing what's asked of them, and paying the highest price. May God bless your family and all of our troops. - Pam Hanson
I was so deeply saddened to hear about Tyler. I taught Tyler in his senior year at Plano East Senior High and he was such a bright student and so sweet to everyone. He came back to East with the Marines and came to see me in April and just awed my students with his good humor, intelligence and poise. I got to spend some time with him at lunch and he said how lucky he was that he was so close to his parents and how so many students never had that...he was looking forward to going into business with his Dad. My heart hurts for your family and no words can express the terrible loss of such a fine young man. I shall never forget him.- Lisa McKeever
What good can't be said about Tyler. While our paths only crossed recently I felt as if I had known him forever. People go through an entire lifetime and never meet anyone like him. I am a better person for having known him. Thanks Tyler...for everything. - Ryan Todd

I follow the war in Iraq regularly and have been bery proud of our soldiers while realizing the danger we ask them to face for us all. Daily, I pray for them and their families and especially now for this family. God bless you all and never let us forget him.- Ken McKee
My condolences go out to the Trovillion family. I have the great memories of hanging out, and playing roller hockey with Tyler when we were younger...the Canterbury Court days. Tyler was always a great friend, and will be missed. He is truly a hero.
“I only regret, that I have but one life to lose for my country.”
Captain Nathan Hale (1755 - 1776)- Jon Hale
As a nation we grieve for the loss of any of our uniformed best. And without a doubt in my mind Tyler was one of these. But to those who share his family we especially will miss the valor, strength and courage – let alone the love that made up his being. His sprit lives on in memories, stories and forever in our hearts. I will always remember the sacrifice your Tyler made for my family and for our country – especially when I see a flag, hear the anthem or see another soldier in uniform. Our pain pales in comparison to a mother and father’s grief, but always and forever remember you and your loved ones are in our thoughts and prayers.
- R Patton
While reading the paper, I caught a glimpse of your son while turning the page. I turned back and read about him and how he gave his life for this country. I cannot imagine what you are feeling, but I am sure that one of the feelings would have to be pride. What a wonderful testimony to his life to read what friends, family and strangers had to say about him. I pray that God will bless your family with peace and comfort in the days ahead that your beautiful, brave son, is resting in his makers arms.
God bless you -- Angela Terilli

Like others who have written, I am not acquainted with your family, but read Tyler's death announcement in the Dallas Morning News. I cannot begin to imagine how profound your grief must be, but know that you do not grieve alone. The congregation of Morris Memorial United Methodist Church here in Chico, Texas is praying for you, that you will find strength and comfort in God's eternal love and power, knowing that Tyler now lives where there is no terrorism, war, pain, death, or tears. May your sorrow be, in some small sense, tempered by the pride you must feel in this handsome young man--his ideals, his courage, his life, his sacrifice. God's peace be with you. - Rev, Elaine Bussey

I miss him so... An amazing man with not a bad bone in his body or ill will in his soul. Honest, smart, driven, successful, athletic and beautiful!!! Not to mention absolutely hillarious. He was always making others laugh. I will always remember those crystal blue eyes. We had been deeply involved since August 2004 when by pure chance we met eachother in San Francisco. From that moment on we spent a lot of time together. He had called me 1 week before he passed. His absence hurts so much, but I know he is in a better place. Tyler--you will be greatly missed and thought of every single day. I love you babie! - Vicky LeAnn Oates
Vicky and Trovillion family,
There is very little that one can say or do to bring comfort at this time and help to strengthen you...But may it somehow help to ease the loss that you must bear to know that there are many hearts that understand and care.
Tyler was a very unique and amazing young man. He captured our hearts and we treasure the time we were able to spend with Tyler and Vicky at Thanksgiving 2004 at our son's home in San Diego, CA and New Years holiday 2005 at our home in Elk Grove, CA.
Tyler was so special. So caring, intelligent, respectful, and funny. He loved to make you laugh. Our family will miss him greatly. We had such expectations in having him be a part of "our" family. Mark and Gina, your loss is our loss too. May God speed your healing. You are in our prayers every day. Much love.
Jim and Joyce Oates- Joyce Oates
Tyler. we all miss you so much, life isn't the same in second platoon without you. we've had so many good times in the two years we've known eachother, and regardless of all the miserable times i've had as a marine through training and being in iraq, it's all been worth it because i got to know you. you've never hesitated to help me when i've needed it, and you've always given me good advice when i've needed it. you've been the honest, most loyal friend and marine anyone could ask for, i mean that with all my heart. i take comfort in knowing that you watch over us here in iraq, and take care of us in these dark times. i love you and miss you so much tyler, i'll see you when i get their bro. - justin matthew miller

I went to Williams and Plano East with Tyler, and only recently hear of his passing when I saw the news report about the new youth center dedicated in his honor. It is so fitting to have a place a peace and comfort dedicated to him since that is how he made people feel when around him. My heart-felt sympathy goes out to the Trovillion family. You raised a wonderful and honorable son, brother, nefew, grandson, and friend. He will always be remembered by the people who knew him well, and even those who did not. God bless your family and may you know what a blessing Tyler was to this world.- Erin Hannah
