Robert Charles Loftice, age 69, of McKinney, Texas, passed away February 3, 2013, in McKinney. Robert was born January 17, 1944, in McKinney, Texas, to Charlie and Emma (Robinson) Loftice. He was a graduate of McKinney High School. Robert was an Administrative Foreman for Denton County Road Commission and retired after twelve years. He proudly served in the United States Army during two tours in Vietnam. Robert was also a Mason.

He is survived by his sons, Randy Loftice and wife, Jill of McKinney, Texas, Marty Loftice and wife, Angie of Whitewright, Texas, Ronnie Loftice, and Richard Loftice, all of McKinney, Texas; daughter, Monica Davidson and husband, Mark of Haltom City, Texas and Johnny and Sissy, who were raised as his own; grandchildren, Rodney, Anjelica, Micah, Dylan, Kristin, Casey, Leah, Felicia, Brittany, and Whitney; numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Ricky Loftice of Pilot Point, Texas; sister, Diane Durrett of Bonham, Texas; and numerous other loving family members of the Robinson family with whom he was very close.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Richard Wayne Loftice, and an infant brother.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 6, 2013, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Melissa Cemetery in Melissa, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday evening at the funeral home.


  • Robert was a friend of mine. We enjoyed riding our Harleys together and I will miss him.

  • I am sad that I never met my birth Dad, but I did get to speak to him once. It really made my day to hear is voice. I too love riding motorcycles, especially Harleys, and know where I get it from. :) Thanks to Marty for getting us on the phone that day. Love you for that and think about you boys all the time. Sissy too. Wish I could have been part of the family. I will see you one day Dad. One day....
