Eugene Thomas Sontheimer, age 84 of Frisco, Texas passed away on October 21, 2012 in Frisco. He was born on December 23, 1927 in Berkeley, Missouri to Bernard and Victoria Grace (Brubaker) Sontheimer. Eugene married Wilda Rose Reeves on March 17, 1949 in St. Louis, Missouri. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy which left him with wonderful memories to share throughout the years with his family. Eugene had a 38 year career with American Airlines where he was the youngest employee to be promoted to Supervisor in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Eugene is survived by his wife, Wilda Rose Sontheimer of Frisco, Texas; children, Constance Lee Tasker (Joseph) of Chevy Chase, Maryland, Randy Thomas Sontheimer (Cheryl) of Denver Colorado, Joseph Gary Sontheimer (Kyle) of Houston, Texas, Donald Eugene Sontheimer (Nancy Lee) of Norman, Oklahoma, Sally Ann Sontheimer (Lucio Micheli) of Rome, Italy, Kieran Sue Fasse (Ernest) of Tucson, Arizona, Mark Frances Sontheimer of Frisco, Texas, Scott Brian Sontheimer (Machelle) of Allen, Texas; daughter-in-law, Lisa Faye Sontheimer of Plano, Texas; eleven grandchildren; sister, Rosemary Sopranowich of Hazelwood, Missouri. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Victoria Sontheimer; son, Andrew Bernard Sontheimer; two sisters and five brothers.

The family will receive friends at a Visitation to be held on Thursday, October 25, 2012 from 6-8 PM at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 8520 Main Street, Frisco, Texas. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 PM on Friday, October 26, 2012 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church with Father Vincent Anyama presiding. Interment will follow at Ridgeview West Memorial Park.

  • We are so sad to hear about Mr. Gene. He has been a great neighbor for 15 years. Lots of good memories. We will miss his smile and his wonderful pies. Praying for Ms. Wilda and all the family. He left a great legacy.
